It didn't take Sheska long to get cleaned up and out of her uniform. Back in her normal cloths she felt more comfortable and Sat down. Sitting down in her house was a very difficult feat. There was hardly any room to do so, the whole house was practically wall to wall books. She really should find a better way to stack them though. If she wasn't careful she would be buried again, just like When she Met Ed and Al. She sighed and looked over at the letter from Winry she still needed to reply to. Poor Winry, it was so hard on her when Ed disappeared and now Al has been gone for two years as well. She wished here was something she could do for her. Maybe she would ask for a few days off and go to Risembool. Probably not though, even if she did go what could she do for Winry.
How long had it been now? She hoped it was close to an hour. Her hands were just itching to pick up one of her books and if she did that she wouldn't be leaving her home for the rest of the day. It was hard to stop her once she got started. Who was The Fuhrer sending? "Hmmm I wonder."

Roy had interepted her in her 16 mile run, which was very important for her day. This is why it was so easy for her to get mad at him. He didn't understand that that kind of vigorous exercise is part of her day. The main thing was that he said he wanted her to and not that she had to. Which is why she accepted it. Not like it was much of a challenge, show this girl a good time and that's all. She could do that.
"Mommy whewe we gowin," ask Rei as he froliced beside her. His thick black hair flopped as he walked. Riyvyer pushed his bleach white bangs out of his face. "To meet a new friend," she replied with a soft smile. Rei squealed with joy. IT took a while but we got to the adress and I knocked on the door. Rei mimicked the action.

Sheska had just given in to the temptation to read and was trying to dislodge the book she wanted from its place in the middle of a large stack. There was a track to it so that the books wouldn't fall. She had almost freed it when there was first a knock and then a smaller knock on her door. The sudden sounds caused her to jump and pull the book out to fast. "Uh oh." The books tumbled to the ground with a giant crash as Sheska ran to the door to avoid being crushed under them.
When she opened her door she was breathing hard and her heart was hammering in her chest. that had been close. "He- hello?" Sheska fixed her glasses since they were hanging off her face as she greeted her two visitors.

Riyvyer examined Sheska from head to toe. She was definatly a librarian. "Hello Sheska-""I'm Rei," chimed Rei excitedly interupting his mother. Rie excitedly ran up to Sheska and hugged her legs. "And I'm Riyvyer Rush, or Major Rush in the office," she sighed finishing her sentence finally.
Rei grabed Sheska's hand along with Riyvyer's and dashes away from the house. "Riwer Riwer," he chants happily. "Sorry Sheska, I guess we're going to the park," she said shrugging her shoulders.

Standing out side her door Was a girl and a little boy. The little boy introduced him self as Rei, interrupting the girl,and hugged her legs. She had to smile at how open and friendly he was. The girl was Major Riyvyer Rush.
She wasn't sure what she had been expecting but she had not expected to get dragged off by a cute little kid. "OH thats ok. The parks fine with me." She told the Major while trying to keep up with Rei, she used her free hand to keep her glasses on her face. So they wouldn't be going to the library after all. She looked at the little boy who was holding on to her hand. He was adorable, the park would be fine.

Riyvyer watched her clumsy son carefully, makeing sure there was no way he could trip. But still remained completely aware of Sheska. This was her day and Rei wasn't going to absorb all the fun.
"Rei slow down," Riyvyer said noticicing sheska's struggle. "We're not all 5 you know," she said with a slight laugh as Rei looked up at her confused. He walked for a second. Thinking. Then. "Oh, me sowwy Sheka," He said looking over at Sheska with a puppy dog face.

He fianly slowed down thanks to Riyvyer. It took him a moment to understand why she wanted him to slow down and then he was apologizing. He was so cute! "Thats OK." She said with a smile. "I'm just not very fast." This was true she was not very fast she didn't get out much mostly she was sitting down, with her nose in a book...or a file. "So were exactly is the park?" It had been a while since she had been there she couldn't even remember going from her house to the park. She couldn't even remember were it was.

Riyvyer laughed and shook her head. Roy was right Sheska didn't get out much, but then again she wouldn't get out much either if it wasn't for Rei. "It's just a few blocks away," she said picking Rei up and placing him on her hip. Rei gigled happily.
Doing what Rei said or wanted wasn't much of a problem to her. His happiness was well...what she lived for. She's just lucky people enjoy being around him, or she wouldn't meet anyone at all. In the Major's head all she needed was Rei. "Do you have anyone, like family," she asked Sheska calmly.

She watched the two happily. It was very obvious that Major Rush was a devoted mother. The question took her by surprise though, it had been a while since anyone had asked about her family. Well yes. my mother lives in central too. She gets sick a lot." She sighed. "It's a good thing I have this military job other wise I wouldn't be able to pay the medical bills."

Riyvyer laughed again. "I know how hard that is," she said rolling her eye's. Not only medical but rent, the diaper fund, and the bottle fund. She was lucky to make it threw his early baby hood without getting kicked out of her apartment and all her stuff getting repossessed. But lookily now she doesn't need most of those things. Raising a child on your own since 15 is tough. But worth it. "Mamma icecream," Rei asked squirming a little on her hip. "When we get to the park," Riyvyer reassured."Momma, I want down," Rei whinned as an answer. So Riyveyr set him down only with a warning for him to not go to far.
They were at the park already. So Rei dismissed himself. "Rei is why Roy always has me take over worked people on their days off," she said shaking her head as her beautiful little boy ran off. "He'll be back with some mastermind plan to make us play to," she said with a chuckle. But then again Rei never needed a plan all he had to do was ask.

Sheska nodded. "It must be difficult. I know that I can barely take car of my self, another person would be to much for me." She watched th little boy run off to play. "Thats very nice of the Fuhrer. It's good that you get to spend extra time with your son."
That would be different it had been years since she had played. Mostly she had just read all day when she was younger. She looked around at the park. "It's kind of nice here. Although nothing can compare to picking up a new book. But it's relaxing."

Riyveyr looked at Sheska and smiled. "It was difficult to handle at first, taking care of him all by myself when I was only 15, when someone still should have been taking care of me, but it was worth it," she replied pushing some of her bangs out of her face. Riyveyr couldn't help but laugh when she said that the Fuhrer was being nice though. He's never actually been generally nice without an alternative reason. Which was kind of sad. "He only does this when he wants me out of his hair," Major Rush stated almost blandly.
"Sadly I don't usually take the time to read unless it's some stupid info pamphlet on what I need to know about my alchemy," she said shaking her hair out. "But ever then only when ordered," she said almost like a growl. She didn't mind being ordered around but the word ordered still ticked her off a little. Then she gasped. "Oh my god maybe he wants you to rub off on me," she said pointing at her almost acting childish but not quiet there.

She couldn't help but laugh at her conclusion although it would make perfect sense in some ways. It was very sad to hear that she hardly read, but then again Sheska knew that not everyone was obsessed with books like she was. " that would be a little odd." She gave another laugh. " I really can't see anyone wanting to be anything like me." She had to say she was enjoying this a little. With out Winry around she hadn't really spent any time with another woman out side of work for a while.

Riza sighed, she was set through the halls once more by Furher Mustang, to make sure the Sheska was taking her day off. She walked assertively throughout the halls as fellow officers saluted her. She gave a curt nod and returned the salute.
"As you were." she replied as she continued her long walk towards the state library. Ever since Roy's rise to presidency, he made sure all his loyal suborndinates got their wishes, and Sheska was now head librarian of the whole state library. The whole library had been renovated, and now it was quite a walk from the Furher's office. Eventually, she arrived and quickly scoured the place, realizing Sheska wasn't there. She grinned, glad that she wasn't. But, she wanted something to do, and she knew Roy was busy.
She flagged down a taxi within a few seconds and drove towards Sheska's apartment. She knocked a couple of times, once arriving. She waited patiently, and eventually let herself and found Sheska and a friend talking. She let out a sigh of relief , as she gave Sheska a wave.
"Hey there, Sheska. Just making sure, you're relaxing." Riza said with a soft smile, glad that the over-worked librarian finally had some rest, and a good friend to talk to while it.

"General Hawkeye!" Sheska whirled around at the sound of the woman's voice. "Of course I'm relaxing." It was mostly the truth. A day in the park would qualify as relaxing to most people. As she had thought before she would personally rather be at the library but Rei was having so much fun and Major Rush was supposed to stay and make sure that Sheska didn't work. Plus this is probably more what the Fuhrer had indented when he gave her the day off.
