She laughed at his comment a tiny bit. Yes at least it did serve food. She was taken slightly by surprised when he held the door open for her. No guy that she had ever met before had done that. Even when she was putting on all of her charms. It almost made Rina fell a little bad... almost.
Rina smiled and her face flushed again. As annoying as this would be on a regular basis she really was having fun being temporarily shy. She was in a place where nobody knew who she was and it was big enough that if she was careful she could be just about whoever she wanted to be in different parts of the town. Then she walked through the door in to the little cafe. It was warm and dry inside and it felt wonderful after the cold soaking wetness of the outside. the sound of the rain drops hitting the roof sounded quiet clearly. She turned back around to wait for Alphonse after all he was the one paying for her food. "It dry in here" She smiled again with a half real look of relief on her face.

Alphonse watched her silently, noting that she seemed just a little confused at his good manners, well, he couldn’t help it, it was just the way he was, and why wouldn’t someone hold a door open for another? He smiled as she blushed slightly, it seemed that she was still somewhat shy around him, but he didn’t mind really, she was talking to him, and that was a start. Grey eyes glanced back to the dampness outside, and he frowned slightly before releasing a deep sigh, it didn’t look like it was going to let up anytime soon now did it? No, probably not, still, at least for the moment, the two of them were dry. “Yeah...” he said, his response automatic before he moved inside the café letting the door close behind him before he thrust his gloved hands into his pockets. “Sit wherever you’d like to, I’m not fussy about things like that” he said, his cheery tone returning.

"If your sure?" She said in a questioning tone and looked back at him after moving. She picked a table that was as far away from the door as they could manege considering the other customers and sat down hesitantly. Then she looked, 'to see if he had followed.' Really she knew that he had followed but was not being a confident person right now, she was being exactly the opposite of her true nature.
Rina swept her now drying ebony hair out of her face . Soon it wouldn't be plastered to her and neither would her cloths. Though her cloths being plastered to her wasn't exactly a hindering factor when dealing with most men. she wondered vaguely if Alphonse would still have been as nice to her if she had started out by acting like herself. Was it just that she was acting so frail and helpless that caused him to act this was, or was he actually just that nice?

It had been a funny old day, first he had decided to walk around Central to see what had changed, and then he had met this young woman, of course she was older than him, he knew that, but she had seemed so helpless, but that was not the only reason he had helped her. Regardless of whether someone was seemingly helpless or not, if they were in trouble, you helped them, it was just the way of things, or at least it was the way he saw things. Alphonse nodded his head to her in response before watching her walk towards a table, he smiled slightly as he turned away for a brief moment striding up to the nearby counter, retrieving a menu from the small wire rack at the side of it, opening it to take a glance at what was on offer.
Well....he could probably afford to buy something for the two of them, although, he would much rather have a warm drink than food right now after that soaking. His gaze trailed back to her as he noticed she was looking back at him, as if asking if he was coming, he smiled again, folding the menu with his left hand before he made his way through the maze of tables to the table. Placing the menu in front of her he moved to sit down in the chair next to her, his clothing making a light squelching noise as he did so. He went cross eyed for a moment as he stared at the hair that hung limply in front of his face, laughing just a little as his gloved hand brushed it away, it seemed she wasn’t the only one having some trouble with her hair. “You can order whatever you’d like, you know, food or, a drink, or both” he said, smiling sweetly.

She laughed as he too had to brush hair from his face. He was just as soaked as her and with out falling in a puddle. Rina sighed inside of her head. Now she was starting to regret the hesitant nature that she was feigning. To keep it up she was going to have to choose something small. Oh well it wasn't like she couldn't find someone else to feed quiet easily once the rain let up. She gave him the shy smile that she was now becoming used to. He was very adorable. Probably when he was older he would be very attractive. She may have to come look him up in about two years or so. Scanning the menu quickly she picked out one of the cheapest things she could find before handing it back to him. "Thank you so much for this."

Well, he could feel his clothes were drying already, if only a little they no longer clung to him, no longer felt quite so heavy upon his body, and for that much he was thankful anyway. Most people didn’t like getting wet, and Alphonse had to admit that he was no exception, but there were worse things after all than a mild soaking from the rain, there could have been thunder and lightning involved. As she laughed he smiled, before watching her glance over the menu briefly before a gloved hand shot into the air waving at the waiter in the distance as he beckoned him over. “You’re welcome” he said as she thanked him, and his smile widened somewhat. The waiter pulled out a pad of paper and a pencil as he approached the table, and Alphonse sat up straight, his right arm resting on the tabletop. “What would we like?” asked the waiter. Alphonse’s grey eyes trailed to Rina and he nodded his head slightly to her. “Ladies first” he said cheerily.

The warmth inside the building felt so good. once again she was happy that she had found Alphonse. Rina watched as the waiter came over and she already knew what Alphonse was going to say before he said it. 'Ladies First.' Now he sounded like a typical male. That made her glad she was beginning to think that she wouldn't be able to understand his mind at all. and she was actually very surprised that he had been able to manipulate him this well when she didn't understand the way he thought.
The waiter was waiting for her to order. Again she inwardly sighed at the fact that she was going to order something so small, but it had to be done. She gave the waiter her order and Turned shyly back to Alphonse. "I'm sorry that you are spending money on me." It was time to set her next trap which may or may not work

Alphonse’s gaze moved back to the outside world as she told the waiter her order, even if the rain was annoying, there was something hypnotic about it...almost calming, and he could not help but watch it lash down onto the pavements and splatter against the café window in a watery display of various sized splashes that streaked across it, it was nice to watch, but not so nice to be out in. “Sir? Your order?” Alphonse’s was snapped from his thoughts by the sound of the waiters voice and he turned his gaze back to Rina briefly before looking at the waiter, smiling with some embarrassment as he rubbed the back of his neck gently. “Right...sorry” he said with a small laugh before he swallowed hard, his cheeks flushing somewhat. “I’ll...just have tea”. The waiter nodded wrote down his order and left the table with a slight bow, before proceeding to weave through the tables to get back to the counter. The young alchemist’s cheeks puffed up slightly as he exhaled, feeling some relief as the waiter walked away, that, was embarrassing. At the mention of money Alphonse’s hands come up in front of him and he shook them from side to side slightly, that previous perky smile returning. “No, no, it’s fine really” he cried.

Rina had to hold back her laughter again. after all a kind shy person would not laugh at someone who had embarrassed themselves like that on accident, so therefore she couldn't. Rina smiled brightly at his response to her remark. "I would gladly help pay. but well....." She flushed red again and looked down as if the fact that she had no money embarrass her. In reality it didn't. after all it wasn't her fault that her parents had been killed and that nobody would give her a real job. So she had just taken care of herself an Lila the only way she knew how to, and that had been by getting other people to give what they needed to her. So that was how she had survived for the past few years and that was how she intended to keep on surviving, at least until she had tracked down those men......

He frowned slightly, her reaction to her lack of money making him feel somewhat guilty, had he said something to upset her? Maybe buying her something hadn’t been such a good idea after all...money was obviously something that she didn’t have, and here he was waving around his money, albeit a minimal amount but still, he could not help that small amount of guilt. “Oh that’s ok, you don’t have to worry about that, really” he said with a smile trying to seem happy about the whole situation, it didn’t matter to him whether she had money or not, after all, he had offered to buy her something, and he really shouldn’t have been feeling guilty for that. He drummed his fingers on the table lightly for a moment, trying to think of something to say, he knew her name, but that was about all, nothing more, and perhaps it was rude to pry into other people’s lives, but, there was no harm in asking her why she was out in the rain, right? He coughed slightly, clearing his throat before his eyes trailed to her, that smile still remaining on his lips. “So...what were you doing out in the rain anyway?” he asked.

She smiled a little but still looked down sadly when he talked of it being OK that he was paying for her. Of course it was OK, after she was Katherina Eichel and what she wanted she got.
'So...what were you doing out in the rain anyway?' Rina looked back up at him.Now here what th e question she was waiting for. It was time to give him a heart wrenching story this should be pretty easy., especially if she Incorporated some of the truth. "I just arrived in town. I was on the road for a few days. Then when I got in to town I sort of got lost." She looked down but out of supposed shyness this time. "I was hopeing...." She trailed off and quickly wiped her hand over her eyes where moisture had started to accumulate.

He frowned again, his face holding a somewhat concerned look, seeing that sadness that washed over her almost instantly as she started talking, the look in her eyes...it was pitiful. As she lowered her head wiping away at those imaginary tears he felt a tug of guilt within his stomach and he placed a gloved hand upon it. He hadn’t meant to upset her...he didn’t think that it was the sort of question that would, it was all in innocence, a way to get to know her better...and it seemed to be having the opposite effect. “I...I’m sorry I didn’t mean to upset you” he said, his hand moving to touch her on the shoulder, a somewhat friendly gesture, and one of concern. “I shouldn’t have asked....I...”.

She looked startled when his hand went to her shoulder. "NO it's OK you didn't do anything wrong." Her voice chocked up a little bit and she manage to get some more moisture to mist her eyes. "Its just well. I feel really guilty. Sitting here in this warm building. She probably hasn't had the same opportunity." She sniffed trying to act as if the thought oh her sister cold and alone on the streets of central was a much more distressing thought to her then it actually was. She hadn't told him she had a sister yet right? no she hadn't good.

He withdrew his hand at her words, and from the fact that it had startled her, he looked confused for a moment, somewhat shocked perhaps, and his hand came to rest on the table beside him as he watched her intently. She? Who was she talking about? That look of confusion only seemed to worsen as his fingers drummed lightly on the table as he tried to think how to ask her about it, this conversation was obviously upsetting her, and he did not wish to worsen that fact by prying further into her life...but still, he wanted to help, in any way that he could. “She?” he asked his eyes staring at his hand for a moment before he swallowed hard turning his grey gaze back to her. “Who are you talking about?”.

Rina looked up at him. Her face looked like she had completely forgotten he was there. "My.... My sister." She sniffed and made a small noise that may have been a sob. "I came to central to find her. I figured that my best bet would be to come to a big city, but so far i haven't found anything." She wiped away some more of the moisture that she was getting her eyes to produce. "We've never been apart for this long before not since our parents." A full blown tear fell from one of her eyes and trailed down her face. Her head bowed down again and a curtain of midnight hair obscured her from view, as her hands clutched the skirt of her dress. She was very proud of this performance this was the best she had ever done.
