The alchemist coughed up a bit of gunk that Daniel wished he'd rather not seen. He scratched his head as he ackwardly looked away, wincing a bit at the noise and appearance of the mess. Wrath was ready to make some kind of sarcastic remark, when the kid looked back toward the ruined building. He looked like he had his mind set on something.
The blond haired man spoke towards the listening homunculus. "Only I can do this...Maybe afterward I can help you with your problem."
"Fair enough" Wrath decided to wait and see what he had in mind. Alchemists did some pretty amazing things at times. Some horrific things as well, but this one didn't seem to be so cruel. Just as there were cruel ones, like the ones who'd put him through a life of torture till he escaped, there would need to be those to balance out the equation. Ones who helped those in need. It was really, just an extension of the law of equivalency that so many clung to. Wrath wasn't really sure about it, but the memory of his past that had come up had dispelled his momentary lapse into peace. Now he was reawakening to his more typical attitudes.
He heard the voice cry out from the crowd, and reacted scorfully. He kept his thoughts to himself though. What's it look like to you, a party? Idiots...
The Alchemist said something about "Bringing it back." What could that mean. It's toast, burnt to a crisp, ruins, shambles, Noe moe. Wrath watched anyway. though he strolled a few steps closer while he did so, hands relaxed in his pockets.

"That doesn't explain how my home burnt down!" The young man said in a very distressed tone. "Wait... Adi!" He started to frantically look around for the girl until she cried out to him and he ran to her.
She was crying now sadly. "I'm sorry it's all my fault." He reached out to hug her but she shied away both from pain and from shame.
"Did you hurt your ribs again?" He asked worriedly and she nodded. She was glad that Mr. and Mrs. backwaren weren't back yet though the stress of this whole thing was going to be bad for the baby.
He patted her comfortingly on the head before going back to the people who seemed to have attempted to do something one of them saying he was going to bring it back?
He went to the man with his hands in his pockets. "Can you tell me what happened?"

Wrath looked over at the man who approached from the crowd, and evaluated him for a moment before answering. "A fire happened, good sir. Quite a vicious one... That alchemist," At this Wrath pointed towards the one on the rubble pile. "is largely responsible for the fire not spreading. He was able to transmute pressurized water hoses from the road, and we were able to get it put out.
Wrath glanced back towards the water hose he'd been using. "Oh yes, he also mentioned something about the fire starters still being inside...as it burned." Wrath looked back towards the building's remains before muttering in a venomous tone, "I hate arsonists."

Russell let the man that helped him take care of the crowd. He had enough to worry about. He could not be sure, but unless Edward Elric was among the people he was the only one that could do this. At least five years ago, Russell was the same level as the older Elric brother. The only benefit that he had over him was the fact he could do alchemy without a transmutation circle. It must have made things much easier.
However how much he wanted to not worry about the crowd, he still heard what was going on. His guess that the man was related to Adi had become even more apparent. He tried to push the crowd out of his mind. He couldn't be distracted; he had to do this right. There was no room for error.
Russell came to the ash ruins of the bakery. The ground surrounding it was wet with ash filled water or other burned substances that he didn't want to think about. He dipped his finger into the ash and drew a simple transmutation circle on his hand. Activating the circle he evaporated the water on the ground before him and using the same circle he made a small barrier around the area to keep water from returning. Then his chalk came out to draw the more important transmutation. He made sure everything was perfect as he could from eye balling it.
After a deep breath he placed his hands on the transmutation circle activating it. The transmutation circle begain glowing brightly, but no evidence of change was apparent. That was for the first minute. Then the water started evaporating off the remains.
A glow took the ruins and brought the bakery down the the ground. Brick by brick the foundation was reformed and continued upward. The glow formed into growing vines and turned into the wood siding by each panel all the way around. The windows appeared and the glass came up from the sill in red before cooling into glass. It continued upward till the first floor was completely formed and the second floor was started.
The inside came second after the bakery was rebuilt. The furnature was rebuilt, the jewelry resmelted, and the bakery goods rebaked (rather badly on the pastries though). In a matter of minutes the glow disappated and the bakery was complete.
Russell stood up slowly and looked at the bakery. "Good as new."

Wrath watched interestedly as the alchemist used the ashes to make a transmutation circle. He saw the steam rising in reaction to the alchemy and remembered the water from before. This guy was getting rid of it, but what for? He kept on watching as the man bent down and started drawing on the ground with chalk. It was being drawn with the utmost care and coordination.
At last, the circle was ready. Wrath couldn't see it well enough from where he was at to attempt to divine it's purpose, but he could wait. If one went through the kinds of things that this fake human had been through, they learned patience.
A glow began and a steaming mist began coming off the rest of the remains. Wrath heard sounds of interest coming from the crowd. He guessed that most people didn't have the chance to see an alchemist do his work around here. It was probably quite a treat to those who could appreciate it after such a mess as the fire.
The light grew as the bakery's foundation began to reform. Wrath opened his eyes widely in astonishment. He'd not seen the perhaps not as complex as building a human body from the required chemicals, but still, quite an impressive display of talent... If he succeeded.
The light continued to run up the sides of the structure as it was re-knit together by the awesome alchemic power. The crowd was calling out in excitement now, excited to see such a spectacle. When it was over, Wrath wouldn't have been able to tell that the building had ever been damaged, let alone destroyed.
The false human finally got a grip on himself, and gave a smirk as he forced himself to stop gaping. Quite a talented alchemist indeed. He wasn't really sure what to do now. He could disappear; that was something he'd been practicing for years. Or, he could stay and make aimless chit chat with the people here, but this didn't seem like the best place to stop for a chat.
I guess I'll just excuse myself then. Quite an impressive show though... Perhaps I'll call on him in the future if I need some help. He grabbed the attention of some of the bystanders, and dragged the address of an inn near the central plaza of the city out of them. He continued on down the way, fading into the night yet again.

Adi and the young man watched in pure awe as their home was reformed before their eyes. Adi had known that he was a good alchemist but this was something else entirely. Then again she she should have expected it from his after reading about him in that one book about the Elrics.
The young man went back up to Russell. "I don't know how we can ever thank you enough." He was still looking awestruck by the rebuilding of the bakery.

At least he hoped... He had never done something at such a large scale before so he wasn't exactly sure how well he did. There were many different elements involved inside the home, but at least all he had done once before(except food). Even if he didn't perfectly create everything inside, the outside was remade with little to no flaws. That was the most important.
He turned to the man that spoke to him and smiled. "None is necessary." Really there was no need for it. It was a service of an alchemist to the people. "I am glad that I was able to help."
This time there was a different feel to helping. Before in Xenotime, he was helping the townspeople in an effort to repay for what he was doing to all of them. This time, it had nothing to do with guilt. Though the pain he now had must be payment from what he had done before.
Suddenly all of what he had done was thrust back at him. Overwhelming exhaustion took hold. The adrenaline that was coursing through his veins was wearing off. His consciousness suddenly left him and he collapsed.

"Russell!" Adi yelled as the man that had been talking to him caught him before her could hit the ground. It took a while but he got them both inside the newly remade bakery and then called for a doctor. They both needed it it looked like.
Adi continued to apologize whenever there was a pause. She was in constant tears from guilt and from the pain. There was nothing that she could do to fix her mistake though. And she had gotten Russell in to it and know something was wrong with him as well.

Once unconscious he remained unconscious. He laid limp in the man's arms not noticing at all that he was moved from the damp street to the bakery he had rebuilt.
Once laying where they put him he didn't rest easy. Breathing was very difficult for him and came in short wheezes instead of breaths. The adrenaline made his skin cold but he continued to sweat none the less.
