"I'm late, I'm goddamn late!" Robert panted as he sprinted through the endless cream corridors of central, it was morning and he had overslept, not by long maybe 10 minuets, but his timing was so precise it was enough to make him borderline late. 'what other majors have to report to the fuhrer! I'm barely past a foot soldier!' none the less Robert had to keep running. after what felt like hours of running Robert came to the fuhrers door. Towering above him was that huge green monstrosity that provided so many fond memories of his brother.'i just know I'm not going to hear the end of this, the briefing was last night for ishballa's sake! why couldn't he have seen me then?' It couldn't be helped as much as he disliked the man he was still the fuhrer and a damn good one, he had to respect him for that.
Robert opened the door before him and nodded politely to the almost sadistically boring secretary the Fuhrer had working for him. If ever there was to exist a woman with absolutely no remedial intelligence and yet no remote beauty to make up for that lack there she was as clear as day. on the opposite side of the room were to very familiar figures. Robert stood bolt upright immediately and saluted to his Superior officers. "Good morning Fuhrer, and good morning to you General Hawkeye ma'am" Lowering his hand as abruptly as he raised it Robert remained in good posture waiting for his punishment.'Two minuets late huh what a scam, you would have thought it had been more like 30 before they would be THIS annoyed'

Riza briefly scanned the paper before her, moments later adding her signature to the document. In a manner it was a rather sad fact that she'd been doing the same thing for a good few hours, the blond made no complaint at the matter. Unlike her superior she was able to complete tasks like this without the need of being held at gunpoint. In actuality she was usually the one doing the 'holding at gunpoint' thing, as of yet she'd not pulled the trigger, there was always a first for everything though. “Focus please,” she said sharply without looking up. How did she know he'd be slacking? Well she didn't, however this was Roy Mustang, and he was well known for loathing putting pen to paper and doing something productive. Combine that with the fact that she almost had a sixth sense for knowing when he wasn't working and you had a near certainty that she was in fact correct. Still, as stated there was a first for everything, and it was possible that he was in fact doing his work and she'd been wrong... Yeah... Not likely... There was honestly more chance of the small dog curled at her feet learning how to speak.
Hearing the door open her head immediately snapped to face it. There had been no knock, thus immediately presumed that there was some form of hostility in the person entering. It probably didn't help that she 'd have still shown this form of caution even if there had been a knock. Apparently though she'd had no need for the tension, it was simply Robert. In honesty she'd seen little of the man, all she knew of him was that he was the younger brother of her superior officer. One would perhaps think Riza would be inclined to better get to know the younger Mustang, he was after all the only blood relative she knew her superior had, however there you would be wrong. Riza's task was keeping the the older brother alive, not digging into his past. If she had any notion of doing that she'd ask Roy himself, and that was something she'd not do. To her Robert was just another face, even if it did bear a strange similarity to that of the one she followed so loyally.
"Good morning Fuhrer, and good morning to you General Hawkeye ma'am."
Standing she turned and walked to stand behind said Fuhrer, Hayate trotting after her despite the fact he'd not been ordered to. “Good morning Major,” she said in stoic tones, a return of the salute following soon after. “May I suggest that in future you knock?” It was less a suggestion and more a demand, one that he would be very wise to head. Riza was known to act in a somewhat intimidating manner around others, her display with Hayate when she'd first got him was proof enough of this. Many called her cold-hearted, some even called her scary. Honestly Riza didn't care though, people could say what the hell they wanted about her, she had both a job and duty to fulfill, and she knew oh so well that she'd not do either as well as she could if she bothered herself over something so petty. “And meeting times once they have been set.” That particular trait was evidently one that ran in the family, ugh, how blessed she was. Yeah, or perhaps not. Either way she had little notion to allow either of them to get away with it.

(OOC :: For the record, I have NO idea what the point of this meeting was supposed to be, so I hope its okay if I make one up. Heh.)
Roy glanced over the top of the report in his hand to gaze out the window at the street below, his eye following everything from cars as they drove by to the occasional pedestrian in the street. He was not looking for anything specific - mostly, he was just looking for anything that would be more captivating than the sheet of paper in his hands. He glanced back down at it for a moment, stifling a bit of a yawn with the back of his hand as the words vaguely sank into his head, but he found himself reading the same paragraph over and over again without really retaining or understanding the words. It was not that the raven-haired alchemist was stupid...actually, though many would disagree only knowing an outer layer of him, Roy Mustang was far from stupid.
Roy Mustang was simply...unmotivated.
As a bigger yawn escaped his lips, Roy again tried to stifle it with his hand, but was not as successful as he was previously. Not long after, he heard his blonde companion issue the simple request that he try to focus a bit more. He glanced in her direction, seeing that, not to his surprise, she had not even looked up from her own paperwork - was he really that predictable? Perhaps. Perhaps he would have to start shaking things up a bit, try to surprise Hawkeye now and again. Predictable was not the image he wanted to leave with anyone, and if he managed to surprise her, the one person that seemed to know more about him than he even knew about himself - well, then he would have truly achieved something.
Before Roy could actually think of a response that would surprise the blonde, however, the door to the office was suddenly flung open, and a familiar young man burst through it. He narrowed his gaze at the other raven-haired man...Robert. Robert Mustang, to be precise - Roy's younger, absentee brother. Though he had vague memories of the younger man from his childhood, they were few and scattered, and he had not seen or heard from the other man until both of them had found themselves in the military years later. Thus, though they had a physical resemblance, and the same name was an obvious tie, Roy did not feel a very strong emotional bond with the other man as he might have if they had more of a past together. And he was not about to go easy on him just because he was 'family.'
Roy visibly raised an eyebrow when he heard Robert refer to Riza as 'ma'am.' Clearly the younger man had not been around her much, and Roy was genuinely surprised that she did not call him out for such a term - but he could hear from her tone that she was less than pleased with the situation. He also found himself somewhat relieved that she had been the one to point out the fact that Robert was late - Roy had little room to say anything about that sort of thing. Perhaps they did have a bit in common...but that was not a thought Roy was willing to entertain at the moment.
"Major...Mustang," Roy then began, pausing only a moment before letting his own surname slip through his lips - it still sounded odd to say, but he knew he would have to get over it eventually. His tone still was strong, however, showing his confidence. "It has been brought to my attention that in your last report about your previous mission, there were a few important details that you failed to include that could be vital information to the state." Roy paused for a short moment, glancing over his shoulder at Riza and wondering why she almost appeared to be hiding behind him or something, but he didn't give it much more thought than that. "Major. Tell me exactly what you saw."
(OOC :: Yep. Told you I had no idea what to write - hope that's okay. Feel free to make something up, I'm sure Riza and I can play off of it.)
