Russell imagined the money he had in his wallet... There wasn't much that he was able to spend. After all, he promised himself he was going to take Fletcher out for dinner. That is if that hotel manager doesn't take all of it first. That was one good thing about the other day. The hotel manager seemed to have backed off for a while about getting money from him. Though, he wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
So he had some money to spend. Besides it looked like this girl needed it more than he did. She was skin and bones there about and that cough didn't seem to confortable. "I'll take you out for lunch. How's that?" he asked. It was more of a statement than a question.

She shook her head violently. She still had enough energy for that. She didn't want to go annoyware with anyone. But she especially didn't want to go any ware with any male. She didn't know this person, and while he was trying to be kind she couldn't be sure of his motives. She was grateful that he seemed to want to help she couldn't, just couldn't. A few more tears rolled down her face. Was this going to be the way she spent the rest of her life? Afraid and alone? A small sob broke free before she could stifle it.

This time he really had to let out a laugh. He held in most of it though. "Do I look that scary? I'm not going to hurt you I promise. Alchemist promise?" Like that was suppose to mean something but he was going to try it. Out of all the people he met the past few days... they all were different on the same subject. 'Help' Adi, she accepted and gave help with no trouble at all, Asira she was just stuborn. This girl flat out rejects it even if she needs it. "Hey, come on now. No crying. I'll pay, what can be bad with that?"

Another Alchemist. This must be her lucky day. What was she supposed to do.... She needed the food badly. If she kept passing out she would never get anything done. And if he had wanted to do something to her there wasn't much stopping him from just carrying her off. But he was asking permission. She examined him while trying to calm herself. She never stopped shaking and she still coughed every now and then but she wasn't as hysterical as she had been before. [still not enough energy] He didn't look like a bad person, there was no cruelty in his blue eyes. But Lila new very well from her sister, the master of facades, that things were not always the way they looked. But at the moment it was either let him help her or starve to death. If he really was tricking her she could deal with that when it came this was a matter of survival.
She started to shake even more violently. "If you really want to." Her head tilted down wards and she shut her eyes. Her voice was the softest it had been yet.

It didn't take him long to start thinking that it wasn't exactly he who was scaring teh girl. It had to be people in general. What could cause this young girl to fear people. That is... if it was people that she feared. But who was he calling young girl. She couldn't be much younger than himself. A lot of things about this girl was worring him. One being that she was afraid of people, and two being that she was starving herself. Well, there was no point on thinking on it now. After all, he could just ask her after she was fed.
If he really wanted to. Really there was part of him that didn't want to. But that was the fear that something bad was going to come of it. It wasn't a hard fear to overcome though. It seemed that he liked walking beside danger. "Where should it be then? I'll let you choose... Just nothing too expensive ok?" He was trying despritely to make a joke... But he wasn't one to joke around much.

he wanted her to pick? How was she supposed to know. Today was the first day she had come out of hiding, and look how that had turned out. She hated the city so much! Why did it even exist!
She calmed her self down again. "I don't know anyplace." She should probably go with her earlier strategy and just cooperate completely and that meant talking as well. She was ready to give up. She was cold, wet, tired, hungry, and sick. She had to let matters be taken out of her hands. She really needed someone to take care of her. She had always had Her parents or at least Rina. But now she was all alone and she needed someone as much as she didn't want to rely on this stranger he was the only one there. [that she hadn't already run away from that day]
She wasn't even sure that she would be able to move. her body didn't seem to be responding. She just lay there limply, completely helpless.

The first place that popped into his head was the bakery. Was Adi going to haunt him till he saw her again? Everyone he met seemed to haunt him till the story was done. Which meant his story with the Elrics wasn't over yet. How thrilling that was going to be. Asira is a story he would gladly avoid for a while. And perhaps he was avoiding her. But it is hard to avoid when one doesn't know where they are.
"I have a place in mind... Can you move?" He assumed not but it was a question he had to ask. Maybe he didn't have a place in mind. She probably would rather eat warm than eat cold. But if she was scared of him now... Taking her to the hotel might be an even worse idea. Perhaps he should take care of one thing before another. "Wait... Public or would you rather get warm?" Either answer it didn't matter to him. he was already involved.

Her decision was probably going to seem weird to him considering how afraid she had been acting of him, it was also probably stupid. But she couldn't't handle anymore people. "Ware ever there are less people."
She tried to get up in order to answer his first question but she couldn;d get any farther then sitting. her hair hung wetly in her eyes, and she couldn't make any more progress. "No I can't get up." This was the stupidest thing she had every done she was going to end up dead in an ally somewhere, if not from this boy it was bound to happen eventually.

So he had been right. He wasn't sure if it was a good thing that he was right or not but now wasn't the time to be thinking about that. It seemed now wasn't the time to be thinking about anything but he sure did a lot of it. 'Where ever there are less people' well... That meant the hotel. Well, once she was fed she was free to leave. So... "I should ask then if you mind being in a boys room... There is a nice shop a friend of mine told me about if you do..." He felt kind of stupid asking all of these questions but he didn't want to offend her in any way.
The jacket had been over his arm, which is over his head, the whole time. Now he moved it to drop it over her head. He didn't have a cold yet... Maybe he would be lucky and just not catch one at all. "I'll carry you." He turned slightly to show his back.
This was going to be an interesting night... and once again it was raining.

'I should ask then if you mind being in a boys room... There is a nice shop a friend of mine told me about if you do...'
What was that supposed to mean? She didn't care who's room it was at the moment as long as it got her out of the rain. she had always been confused when people said things like that. Especially when her sister said them. She decided to just go ahead and ignore the confusion. " I don't mind." she coughed again and then was startled when something was dropped on to her head. His jacket. maybe he really does want to help... She was starting to get the feeling that she could trust him. At least for now, utill she was feeling better. Maybe she just looked pitiful enough that no-one wanted to take advantage of her or hurt her.
Another round of coughs. It still hurt, how had she let herself get this bad? The longeing for green and familiar things ached almost as much as her body. Finlay the coughing subsided. how was she supposed to do anything is this state? 'I'll carry you.' She just stared. He would..cary her? Why was he making so much effort?

Maybe it was a stupid question. But she doesn't mind so it doesn't matter. "Well come on." He gestured with his head then turned around. "Just watch the left shoulder..."
This girl is strange. Which is quiet obvious but there is something about her that he liked. What it was exactly he didn't know. He wasn't trying to think about it yet it was coming to mind. Well, Fletcher won't mind. That's something he didn't have to worry about, which was a good thing. Out of all the things the brothers could bring to the house: stray cats, lost dogs, injured birds... Russell is bringing home a homeless girl! Won't that be a story to tell.
"That is a bad cough you have..."

Watch his left shoulder? Was he hurt? She chased the questions from her head. She wasn't quite sure how she was going to get on to his back when she could barley lift her weight. She felt rally stupid just sitting there on the ground in the rain shaking. There wasn't much that she could do though. She was wet ,she was sick and she was afraid. What was she going to do after the boy gave her some food. She would just be back ware she started. She would have to find some way to get some money...... Think about that later. she scolded her self. right now you have more important things to worry about She came out of her thoughts just in time to hear him comment on her cough. "Yes I suppose." It had actually just started that day. She wasn't surprised though between not eating, being in the rain and the cold, and all the people around. She was bound to have caught something, it had even been a really long while since she had been able to wash herself properly.

Maybe that idea wasn't going to work. Fine then. He'll do it this way. Russell put his hand under her legs and better secured his arm around her back. It wasn't hard to lift the girl up. She was quiet light and he was able to lift Fletcher still if he had to... But he hasn't done that for over three years. He still had the ability though... At least, he thought he did.
"This might work better." Russell said with a small smile. It hurt slightly but he didnt' let it show, it was more of an annoying pain then anything. The skin was pulling at the wound making it sting. "The name's Russell, if you wanted to know."

she tried very hard to keep calm. After all she had already decided to let him help her and she couldn't climb on to his back. She wished that she was like her sister. Rina would jump at this chance. For some reason Rina had always been obsessed with males. She had never understood it. But at least Rina wasn't afraid of everyone like Lila was.
'The name's Russell, if you wanted to know.' The introduction did make her feel a tiny bit better. he felt a little bit less like a stranger. "Lila." Her voice was still tiny. She was still scared witless and sick to boot. She started to cough once again. It was surprising to her that she hadn't coughed up her lungs by now. Why couldn't she do anything right!

He started to hurry up a bit. Now he was getting drenched and it wasn't a feeling he exactly liked. A feeling he was use to but a feeling he didn't like. Also the girl probably should be out of the rain as soon as possible. She probably already has a bad case of pnemonia and her eating habits didn't seem to great. All together she was a complete mess.
Lila. That's a pretty name. And it seemed she was still scared to death. How Russell was carring her probably didn't help anything but he had no choice if she couldn't move. "Nice to meet you Lila... Lovely weather don't you think?" He was trying to start a conversation in the funniest way he could. Once again, Russell was a very serious person... so the jokes weren't coming that easily.
