To think he really got that worked up about something so small. The head ache he welcomed a few moments before was going to be a nightmare by the end of the night. Russell walked with one had in his pocket and a corner of a handkerchief hanging out of the other. Though he was now calm, the panic attack that took him earlier had made him pale. Some of the color had returned during the walk but not all.

She led him down the streets until they got to a small old looking store. At that moment it was almost completely filled with boxes. At the back was a counter and sitting behind it was an old man. "This is it." she opened the door for him and called out to the store owner. "Mr. Amery I found someone to take care of the boxes." she said cheerful as always. The old man came around the counter and some how found a way to the front of the store. He examined Russell sternly for a moment but then his gaze turned kind. "its a pleasure to meet you. so your looking for work?"

Russell nodded politely. "Yes, sir." If he learned one thing from Magwar it was how to be polite and curtious to a boss. "My name is Russ...el Tringham. Adi says that you could use the help... and I could... use the money." His politeness drained away to an almost embarassed tone. He chocked up slightly around his name as he remembered why he paniced in the first place. But he didn't freak out this time. Russell didn't dare to look around and only looked kindly ahead to the old man.

The old man nodded gravely. " Unfortunately that the way of the world everyone needs money. Well if you can go a head and get started Adi can show you what to do with those boxes. you can handle things here for a time Adi?" She nodded happily. " good I have to run some errands." He examined Russell. "Now don't work your self to hard you hear me. You already look like your coming down with something."

"I'm fine, sir. Thanks for your concern..." Did he really look that bad? Well, he was sweating before and now he had a head ache... So he couldn't imagine why he wouldn't. Since Magwar he has met a lot of different types of store owners... Some if possible were worse than Magwar... Not caring at all about their workers just wanting the job done... Then there were those that let their workers walk all over them. Mr. Amery was a decent boss for what he has seen in the past few minutes.

The old man nodded and left. Adi beamed, "I think he likes you. OK so heres what you need to do." She began to explain to him which boxes went whear, it was going to take a lot of maneuvering to accomplish it, but it wasn't impossible. She had done it before with just as many boxes. "And if you need help I'll be organizing the shelves and taking stock. Good luck" she pranced away around the boxes to the other side of the store.

This wasn't going to be to difficult... For some reason he thought lifting boxes sounded like back breaking manual labor but this wasn't going to be bad at all. Easily he memorized exactly what he needed to do from Adi and got right to work without a word of complaint. Unless his head ache got worse or he had another panic attack he wasn't going to need any help with this. Staring at only the boxes and lifting them he didn't let the thoughts he had before get into his head or the fact he was in a book store.

She was glad she'd finally done something right today. humming she began taking inventory and putting the books back in their original places. Every once in a while she would peek around the shelves to make sure he was doing OK. he had been extremely pale. It was during one of these times that she accidentally knocked over a shelf and the shelf and the books on it came crashing down on her. "OW"

In the middle of lifting the box and putting it on the highest shelf there was a loud bang. The startled jump made the box loose balance in his hand and started pulling him backwards. "No... you don't..." he grumbled as he quickly shifted the box so the weight was pulling him forward instead of backward. Once the box was safely on the ground he ran to see what made the noise.
"Adi!" he shouted and quickly went to move the shelf. It wasn't heavy, which was a good thing for her. If it was the sturdy shelves that held the boxes she might have been in worse shape. "Are you ok?"

"Yes I'm fine, sort of." After about a minuet she slowly sat up. "Books are painful." She looked around at the huge mass of books that now littered the floor. Well this is just great. look at this mess. She sighed in exasperation. "Sorry. I should pay more attention to what I'm doing."

Russell nearly ignored what she said and started piling books into his arms and setting them back up on the shelf. He was nearly finished with the boxes anyway. "As long as you are sure." There was no way he could really help her other than find a way to excort her to the hospital. But it didn't seem that Adi really needed it.
The books went onto the shelf in a semi order. It would take him longer to put them all in order right now. But once a good majority of the books were up Russell would put them in the right order... And... If he looked at the titles now he would want to stop what he was doing and read them.

Adi Stood up and stretched her back out. Its not as painful as i thought it was "Thanks, I should probably do that though. How are things going with the boxes." Now that most of the pain was gone her smile returned. She started picking up books as well placing them back on the shelf which wobbled. She frowned. "OK somethings off so it wasn't just me." She knelt down and started looking for the broken part. "Ah ha! Found it."

Russell sighed slightly and finished his armload that he picked up. He fixed up the order better then he started then watched Adi find the broken leg on the shelf. Someone must have kicked it rather hard for a leg to be broken. It didn't seem to be to bad as long as everything on the shelf was balanced.
A habit of standing still, Russell put his hand in his pocket where he felt the piece of chalk. Not one alchemist, except probably Edward, would leave home without it. He knelt down next to Adi, careful not to damage any of the books. "Let me take care of it... After all... I'm a talented alchemist." He smiled but not in an arrogant way.

"Really! that would be great. thank you! I'd really hate for the books to fall on a customer." She laughed a little. it would be funny but at the same time it would be very bad. Plus she had never seen alchemy performed before. She always seemed to be at the wrong places and always missed it. Plus she liked to stay away from state alchemist, the uniforms made her nervous, because it made them look a little intimidating. i wonder if I was always this weird or if it just started when I hit my head. She stopped thinking and watched Russell draw a transmutation circle.

"That would be bad..." Russell took the piece of chalk from his pocket and drew softly on the side of the book shelf. He activated the circle and there was a light blue glow. The leg fixed instantly and the glow disappated. "Good as new." He didn't think it was a big deal. After all he had been working on alchemy since he was young and at Xenotime he repaired more than enough things to become more than adept at it... Every now and then he used his alchemy skills for money... but only when he was desprite for money.
"I'll get back to moving those boxes now, Ma'am..." He didn't really know why he went suddently formal, but at the time she was his acting boss. It wasn't going to be much longer till the boxes were done.
