Well, this was a sorry place. This use to be the bustling tourist attraction? What were these people thinking building a town on a lake? Not much obviously, just look around.
Good thing that he didn't mind getting wet. Because this place sure broke that wish quickly. Not only was the water creeping up around the sides of the once beautiful city but it was wearing away the streets. One false step crumbled the edge of the walkway and he fell right in. But he didn't blame that all on the conditions of the city. Only took some common sense not to stand where he was. But no... he did it anyway.
Another good thing. His hat didn't fall off. If he got one more chip in the enormous horns that were mounted on top he might scream. Where was he to get another pair of these things. Go up to Briggs and hunt a goat himself? Like that was going to happen.
There was only one more good thing he could think of at the present time. It was a good thing this place was miserable. The more miserable the more desprite people are for entertainment.
The only problem is. The only people he had seen so far, were the ones on the train that said he was completely insane for getting off here. That meant one thing. He wanted to get off at this spot even more.

Water. Every direction Anela turned her eye that was all she could see. This place was covered in water. If there wasn't a train station you couldn't have gotten her anywhere with in 50 feet of the place. All she saw when she looked at this much water was work...... She had four metal limbs and keeping them all rust free and in good condition was a giant task, even when they usually stayed covered by cloth.
She had been walking for a goo long while now. She almost couldn't remember why she got so far away from the town where she got off the train. But noooooo She had to go and end up in some town in the middle of nowhere that had no train station. And then the nearest one was here. The train station was all she was headed for. Why couldn't the nearest station been somewhere dry....

He was now standing in a puddle that was nearly a foot deep. Not exactly the place he wanted to be. But no matter. The scrawny boy started climbing back up onto the street. Once at back on the street he was panting. He was starving, maybe this wasn't the best place to stop.
It had been a few days now since he last ate and when he last ate it wasn't very much, just a sandwich at the local resturaunt. His stomach growled, a normal feeling that he had from day to day life.
Had this city been abandoned? He sure hoped not... The next train was scheduled for... he didn't know. That might be something to find out.
He stood up and started walking back into the run down train station. There had to be a schedual somewhere.

She finaly Found it! Anela picked up her pace to a light jog as she kept a watch out for puddles. Hopefully a train would be comeing soon. She didn't realyl like this place very mcuh. Besides the fact the it was wet there were no people aroudn and it gave her the creeps.
For all her effort she neded up steping in a very large puddle. Her leg was easily soaked. On the bright side it wasn't cold to get her leg wet but her leg was still wet. She grubmbled angrily as she netered the train station. THis did not make her feel better however. There wasn't anybody there. What if trains didn't stop here any more?

They said he was insane for coming here. They said he was insane for coming here. Slowly, he was agreeing with them, but that meant that he would have wanted to come in the end in the first place. All of the fliers on the walls were torn and falling off the walls. Some were actually marked up by kids.
He started toward a trash can and started going through the flith. Anything edible had been long taken by the birds. Just old news print. Exactly what he was looking for. He pulled the paper out.
The date was a few months ago when Aquroya was offically abandoned. He sighed. In other words, that might have been the last train for about a month. Unless the military train comes through. That might be even more rare.
The paper fell back into the trash can and he sat against the welded can. How boring.

What to do? She had no idea. there was probably no trains stopping here... but what if there as? And even if there wasn't going to be a train how was she supposed to find her way to the next town were the trains would stop? The answerer had to be somewhere. Anela started to look for any kind of hint to when or if a train would be coming.
She didn't find any clues. Angrily she brushed long brown hair out of her one eye, and brushed it away from her face where it had been tickling her cheek. The piece of material that was secured over her missing eye somehow seemed to trap hairs and it took her a moment to work them free.
After that she continued walking around the station. Still no clues, but it seemed she was wrong. there was a person here. Anela cautiously started to approach the person.

The boy was now blind. The horned tattered had stank over his eyes as it had to situate weird when it was against a solid surface behind him. His pants clung to his legs of sticks. He has had worse, mud was much worse.
Being blind didn't mean he couldn't hear. His hand reached into his pocket and started figetting with something inside. A tin box filled with matches. A wet match did him no good.
The waterproof seal was broken and he pulled out one of the wooden matches. The wall was his best bet at getting the match started if he needed to.
The foot steps seemed heavy, not a child that was for sure. Perhaps it was a man. "I am armed," he said from under the hat.

The words and the loudness in which they were said made Anela jump back in surprise. She hit the ground with a loud clanking and instantly reached in to her pocket there was various tools for drawing transmutation circles stuffed in to them.
She took the person in. It was a man. a hat with horns was sitting over his eyes. She suppose that her foot steps had sounded threatening. Even if she didn't necessarily clank with every step a metal foot made heavier steps than a regular one. All she needed to do most likely was prove she meant no harm.
"Do you know when the next train will be here?" she asked. From her appearance most people expected to hear a full grown womens voice to come out and a gruff one at that. It always surprised them to hear a young feminine voice when she spoke.

He had scared the person? The boy lifted the rim of his hat high enough so that he lifted the hat from over his face. It was a girl! That was a bad misconseption. The clank that rung through the abandoned station answered his questions of why. Was the girl mostly metal?
The speed he used to get up sent his world into blackness for a moment and made him dizzy. This was normal, he was so weak that the dizzy spells that people get every so often came whenever he stood. "I am sorry, Miss." he said as his vision slowly came back.
He tried hard not to sway or act as if he couldn't see as his vision returned. The match was now loose in his pocket with an open match box. Some of his blond hair had come infront of his shoulder. The stiff strands he had created so that his hair wouldn't catch fire.
"I don't know when the train comes. I was just checking that myself... If it makes you feel any worse, one left an hour or so ago."

Anela relaxed a bit. He wasn't going to attack her at least. She almost groaned as he told her about the train that had left an hour ago. But that meant that trains did stop here! So she was in the right place after all.
"It's Fine." She said to his apology. "I guess I was kind of sneaking up on you. Sorry." She chewed on her lower lip as she began to think. How long would it be? She had some supplies. But if she needed up having to try and find another town they wouldn't last long if she stayed here trying to wait for a train that might not stop at this particular station for days. What had the people that sent her here been thinking!
Well he'd already heard the giant clank so there wasn't really any point in hiding. So since she had to stay still a bit to thing she fished a handkerchief out of her pocket. She knelt down and rolled her pant leg up. Then she started to dry the metal that was still damp form its encounter with a puddle.

He had been living a while on his own. There was no way he was going to be jumped for the little he had. But he was a little ignorant, a young girl would never steal. Children, yes... he understood that they did. But not young girls.
"It is quiet alright, miss," he started, "It's far too quiet here. I figured someone would jump me eventually."
One automail leg, one missing eye. This girl has seen some hardships. "You're pants are wet, you are doing yourself no good. For a few bucks, I can fix that for you." He himself was drenched and he was offering to dry her clothes. Right now he was too desprite for the money to realize that his con didn't really fit.
His hand went back into his pocket. It took him a moment to find the match that he had lost. Also, he made sure he closed the case to the match box.

He figured someone was going to jump him? That was being a little paranoid. Then again. she had been approaching him cautiously for a reason. This place was just too creepy. The silence and emptiness was penetrating.
As he offered to dry her cloths she looked up at him with a raised eyebrow. After a second Anela smiled and shoo her head. "sorry. I only have enough money for a train ticket. I'll just have to make due." If she kept the pant leg rolled up the wet apart would stay out of contact with the automail anyway it would be fine. Just right now she was worried about getting the water out of every crevice she could find. She had become a bit of a perfectionist about her automail. For one she had worked long and hard to pay for it. Also with out it she would be contained to a bed and be pretty much helpless. It was the least vulnerable part of her body and yet it was th part that she worried about the most. Things were funny that way.

It was worth a shot. It was worth a shot. So he didn't get some money off of it. It wasn't like the match was unusable afterward. "Because your are my first customer. I'll do it for free."
He pulled out the match and rolled it in his fingers for a second. A tiny carving was inscribed on the outside of it. His finger brushed over the carving and it started glowing blue. On the outside of every match in the match box was a transmutation circle. The tin box itself had the same transmutation circle. That was used to to carve the circle onto the matches in the first place.
He knelt next to her and pinched his finger and the match against her pants. Her automail? He wasn't going to even dare to touch that. If he didn't burn her, he would cook something in the automail thta wasn't suppose to be cooked.

"uhh thank you?" He was trying to get money but was going to do it for free anyway? that was a bit strange nice but strange. she watched him. He must have transmutation circles on the matches. That was a nice use of alchemy. She never would have thought of something like that he must have been very creative.
"So are you waiting for a train too?" Although why anyone would be here in the first place except to find a train was beyond her. Then again not everyone was like her. Some people liked to be alone. As she talked to him she kept her eye on the glowing match. She really didn't want anything to happen to her leg. Not that she thought he would. But it was easy to make a mistake.

She accepted. The boy smiled and proceeded with the process. Her clothes pants started to heat up. The boy was aggitating the oxygen in the water that clung to her clothes till it started to steam off. Though he specialized in fire, manipulating flamable objects was what he really knew how to do. Oxygen the main one.
"Basil's Dry Cleaning at your service. For a buck or a penny we'll... I'll dry your clothes!" He made up the corny phrase on the spot. He should have tried to think of something better, but it doesn't matter, he wasn't trying to sell something he didn't even have to a customer that has no money.
With creaks in his joints, the stood up with no seen difficulty. He was use to the pain. "Basil Wright, at your service." He pulled off his hat and carefully gave a graceful bow. The flimsy hat was hard to manipulate to stay straight, but he managed.
At least he wasn't going to be alone here. He expected some people to have stayed. But maybe he was wrong. Perhaps the whole city evacuated once the water had covered all of the streets that wasn't slightly elevated.
What was he thinking. Of course there were people here. If not adults, there was going to be animals or even children... The ones that are always abandoned for something better.
